Stampin' Up! Convention Swaps 2013

Back from Convention!!!!  SO much fun!!!  Great time, great food, great friends, great prizes--WHAT A BLAST!!

As promised, here are my convention swaps, and the directions:

1) I created the background in My Digital Studio, using the By Definition stamp set--using a custom size of 3.75" x 5".  I just played with the sizes, until there was a nice mixture fitting together.  I duplicated the project, and changed the colour of words to Early Espresso for the Crumb Cake and Rich Razzleberry cards.  I then exported to JPEG.

2) I then created a new 8.5" x 11" project, and imported the background JPEG 4 times, fitting them evenly on the page to minimize cutting.

3) Print and cut.

4) Next is to stamp images with Versamark, and Emboss with Clear Embossing powder(flowers are from SECRET GARDEN).  To save a bit of time, I arranged 3 clear mount stamps on the page where I wanted them(the top left 3 images).  Then I placed a large clear block on top,  and pressed.  PERFECT!  Then I stamped 4 at a time, and embossed each.  After doing 100 of these--(remember, these were my SWAPS!!) I took the stamps of and rearranged for the other side(the 3 images on the right).  Without changing anything, I was able to restamp the bottom left flower--repeating the first process 100 times!!

5) Next is to sponge ink on each one with colour of your background choice of Card Stock.

6) Mount on pieces of  5 3/16" x 3 15/16" Basic Black or Early Espresso, then mount to 4 1/4" x
5 1/2" card.

7) Stamp sentiment (this one is from TOO KIND) in Black Stazon and Early Espresso.

8) Punch with punch of your choice (these are done with Decorative Label).

9)  Sponge edges of label or tag, then mount on card with Stampin' Dimensionals.

Hope you enjoy, and have fun!  Send me a picture of your creations!

Happy Birthday

This was a fun and quick card to put together....just adhere some circles to a 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 piece of cardstock, then run them in an embossing folder through a Big Shot or Cuttlebug machine.  The folder used on this card is Chevron from Stampin Up.  Then just top it with a stamped label and give it extra dimension with some dimensionals.

Nursing Cover

These are some nursing covers that I made with Stampin Up fabric.  They were a lot more work, as you had to sew 2 panels together to be the right size, but they turned out lovely!  They also have a secret pocket for storing breast pads, a soother, and they make a perfect "napkin" for wiping baby's mouth after!  They also happen to make a great apron!
